How to measure for jeans
We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.
Waist & hips
Measure your natural waist at the narrowest part of your torso. Measure hips around the fullest part of your seat. Compare both measurements with any size details given for the jeans you want.
Inseam & rise
For inseam, measure along the inside of your leg from crotch to the length you want the hem to reach. Rise describes the distance from crotch seam to waistband. Cropped, ankle, and full-length Risen styles can have different inseams.
If a product does not list the measurements you need, contact us for help with that specific style before ordering.
Fit by style
Start with the silhouette, then check the details
Wide leg & flare
Look for your preferred waist fit, then compare the hip fit, fabric stretch, and inseam. A wide leg does not necessarily mean a loose waistband.
Straight & cropped
Check where the hem will fall on you. A cropped style may fit differently through the hip or thigh than a full-length straight leg.
Close fitting styles
Check the fabric content and the product's fit notes before deciding whether to size up or down. Stretch varies from pair to pair.

Sizing questions
Does 1/24 mean a 24-inch body waist?
No. It is a product size label. Risen's general guide maps odd size 1 to a 25-inch waist reference. Compare the product's fit notes before choosing.
What if I usually shop in UK, EU, or AU sizes?
Measure your waist in centimeters and use Risen's waist guide above to find a starting odd size. Then select the matching label on the product page and check that pair's fit details. Risen does not provide UK, EU, or AU equivalents in this guide, so avoid relying on a generic dress-size conversion.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Are all Risen jeans 30–31 inches long?
No single inseam applies to every Risen style. Cropped, ankle, and full-length jeans have different lengths. Check the individual product page or contact us for its inseam.
Should I size down if the denim stretches?
Not automatically. Check that pair's fabric and fit notes, plus how you prefer the waistband and hips to feel. If you are between sizes, send us the product name and your measurements for a recommendation.
